What is Stugeron and when is it used?

Cinnarizine is used to treat problems affecting the inner ear and balance, such as dizziness and sickness. Travel sickness is caused by repeated unusual movements during travelling.

How will it treat my symptoms

Stugeron tablets contain 15mg cinnarizine as the active ingredient. Cinnarizine is an antihistamine medicine that works in the brain.

It prevents an area of the brain called the vomiting centre from receiving nerve messages sent from the vestibular apparatus in the inner ear.

Can I buy Stugeron Over the Counter?

Yes, you don’t need a prescription to buy this dose, some doses will require a prescription but this one does not. A pharmacist will need to ensure the treatment is suitable and safe for you.

Does this medicine cause side effects?

Medicines and their possible side effects can affect individual people in different ways. The following are some of the side effects that are known to be associated with cinnarizine.

What is the recommended dosage of this treatment?

Stugeron tablets can be chewed, sucked or swallowed whole. If you find this medicine upsets your stomach, taking it with or after food may help. Do not take more than the recommended dose.

How should I store these tablets?

Keep the product out of the reach and sight of children. Do not use your medicine after the expiry date shown on the packaging. There are no special storage conditions for this product.
