Aromasin verringert die Östrogenlevel in postmenopausalen Frauen, was das Wachstum bestimmter Arten von Brusttumoren, die Östrogen zum Wachstum im Körper benötigen, verlangsamen kann. Aromasin wird in der Behandlung von Brustkrebs bei postmenopausalen Frauen eingesetzt.
